Institute Set Up And Its Back Ground

   
       
 

You are aware that the Railway Administration have constituted colony care committee during the year 1992, involving the Representatives of organized Trade Unions/Associations and officials as Ex. Officio members. The Moula-ali Railway colony is one of the largest colonies with about 850 quarters. As the colony care committee is an advisory body, under the chairmanship of Dr. N. Ramesh, Sr. MS/RHU/MLY, the colony care committee has initiated activities to improve the living conditions and to provide additional infrastructure including recreation facilities for the benefit of the residents of the colony. With the continuous efforts of the committee, the Railway administration has recognized the Railway Institute, at Moula-ali Railway colony 13-09-2004 and necessary minimum infrastructure/Recreation facilities are being provided by the administration. Initially there were only 30 members and an adhoc committee has been constituted on 26-01-2005. The setting up of infrastructure/ Recreation facilities vests with the involvement of more and more members in the day-to­day activities like library, indoor games, cultural and social activities. With the continuous efforts of the members of the adhoc committee, the membership has been increased and the present membership is*§©. An amount of Rs.20/- per month in advance is being recovered from the salary or by remitted in cash in every month. The membership of the Institute is open to all S.C Railway employees including the staff of ZTC, RPF and S & T training centre. The families of all members shall have the same privileges as the members themselves excepting that they shall not be entitled to vote at meetings are to hold office in the Institute. The Institute is being managed by a committee consisting of a chairman, Vice chairman, Secretary, joint Secretary, Treasurer and six Executive committee members.

56th Republic Day was celebrated on 26-01 -2005 and the 59th Independent Day was celebrated on 15-08-200gand the following sports events conducted involving youth/women/ children. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

3. Lemon spoon for ladies and children
